Steph Curry fined $50K for throwing his mouthpiece at referee
It hasn't been an easy start for the champs.
The Golden State Warriors are struggling at 1-2 on the season, despite being the odds on favorite to win it all again. After being ejected for throwing his mouthpiece at an official Saturday night in a loss to the Grizzlies, Curry has been fined $50,000 by the NBA, according to USA Today's Sam Amick
Steph Curry will receive a $50,000 fine for throwing his mouthpiece, I’m told, and Andre Iguodala a $15,000 fine for yelling at the ref— Sam Amick (@sam_amick) October 23, 2017
No game suspension for Steph Curry, who was fined $25k when he threw his mouthpiece during the 2016 Finals. NBA ready to see this habit end.— Sam Amick (@sam_amick) October 23, 2017
The $50k fine is maximum allowed per league rules based on that action. Also, Durant flashed his ring finger &, thus, nothing to see there.— Sam Amick (@sam_amick) October 23, 2017
It was thought Curry could face a possible suspension for the action but as of Monday evening the two-time MVP is slated to play against the Mavericks Monday night in Dallas.
