You can't escape a chat with an Irishman without mention of Conor McGregor, as Ben Affleck and Ray Fisher now well know.

As Fisher famously once portrayed Muhammad Ali onstage, the pair of "Justice League" stars were asked how the boxing great would fare today in mixed martial arts.

Affleck became one of many celebrity UFC investors when Hollywood talent agency WME-IMG purchased the premier fighting league in 2016.

"I mean, if it were in this place in this time, same training, same personality, he'd rise to the top," Fisher tells JOE.ie. "For sure. There was something very special about his spirit. The style is much different today than it was back then, but if he were born today in the same style, same format, there'd be no stopping him."

No argument from Batman, who was quick to compliment McGregor's recent performance against Floyd Mayweather Jr. The UFC lightweight champion reportedly broke pay-per-view records making his boxing debut against the undefeated defensinve specialist.

"Yea, I'm a big Conor McGregor fan," Affleck continued. "I think he acquit himself really well but boxers are so specialized in what they do and the way that they fight. Ali was the greatest, naturally, ever. So you have to think, while there might be some guys who could give him a pretty good fight, he would still be the best."

"Justice League" hits theaters Nov. 17.
