We've Never Seen 'Big'

We've Never Seen 'Big'

The lovely Ash has never seen the 1988 classic film starring Tom Hanks.

Adored by all, the film made over $150M on an $18M budget and made Penny Marshall the first female director to gross $100M+. Like most people you probably have fond memories of this thing, but have you seen it lately? Damn, some of this shit is dark. Sure, there's a kid living it up in a baller apartment in New York bedding females executives but back in the burbs there's a grieving mother clutching to hope that her child isn't being eaten by a maniac in a basement. Did you know they wanted Robert De Niro to play the Hanks role? How weird would that have been? They also offered it to Harrison Ford. Imagine Harrison Ford trying to act like some idiot child. You can't! Let's talk about it. Enjoy!
