Disorderly Fest Weekend Three Headlined by Death Cab For Cutie, Vampire Weekend & Deadmau5

You’ll never believe it! After two successful weekends of the Disorderly Fest, word is finally starting to spread to a main stream audience. And to promote this weekend’s shows, the Today Show agreed to feature one of our artists.

This is a huge opportunity to generate buzz about what we’re building here, but we had to choose the right performer for the job. Well, that part was easy. Maggie Rogers is so damn charming, it’s hard to watch her perform and not feel inspired to buy tickets to the festival. Somewhere, Pharrell is smiling.

Alright well as nice as it was to have a live TV performance, let’s get to the actual festival. Everything on TV feels air-brushed and festival goers prefer a little more dirt, sweat and energy. So let’s head to the main stage where Vampire Weekend is about to blast us with confetti cannons.

Vampire Weekend is undoubtedly fun but to be honest, my legs are tired from bouncing around and my face hurts from smiling. Lucky for us, the sun is setting just in time for Tame Impala to take the stage and mellow us out. I don’t do drugs but if I did, this would be a good time to do drugs. You don’t have any, do you? Not that I would do them anyway, I was just wondering.

It’s been a great day. I loved so many of the bands in today’s lineup but if I’m honest, I came for one reason. The headliner. I grew up on the lyrical storytelling of Ben Gibbard and Death Cab For Cutie. I can’t be sure if I love them because I focus so much on song lyrics or if I focus on song lyrics because I grew up on Death Cab. Either way, I can’t wait to see them perform live. Indie royalty, you guys. Indie royalty.

If you’re looking for the EDM stage, it’s on the other side of the concessions. I think Deadmau5 is performing there tonight. I saw him at a festival once and he made the crowd wait for like 20 minutes before he started playing music. Not sure if that was technical difficulties or if he was just being a diva, but people were understandably restless.

I’ll say this though… once he started, it became very clear why he’s one of the biggest DJs in the world. This guy can put together a set. So grab me a mouse head from the merch tent, save me some standing room. I’m ready to dance.
